Categories and scope of data acquired
Personal data
In general, all users can review our web site and gather information without the need to provide personal data. In cases where users establish contact with us through online forms or register for a newsletter, they must provide at minimum personal data in those fields marked with an asterisk. Besides data that is generally available such as company names, title, name, address, telephone number, fax number and e-mail address, other data such as industry sector and job function may be gathered.
Forwarding of data to third parties
Data that is generally available are forwarded to third parties only when this is necessary in order to carry out the requested services. Additional data can only be forwarded to third parties with the permission of the persons concerned.
Information
Users can receive information from us about our own activities and general economic activities in the form of letters, telephone calls or e-mails. By selecting a check box when filling out a contact form or when registering with us, users declare that they agree with this provision.
Any persons concerned who are not interested in receiving such information and do not wish to be contacted can instruct us of these wishes.
We send our users a newsletter at irregular intervals, and it contains information about our activities, new products, participation at trade fairs, etc. Users who are not interested in receiving the newsletter have the option of unsubscribing at any time.
Scope of data processing, data security
We are aware that the handling of sensitive is a particularly delicate issue. Data is therefore processed only for the purpose that was stated when it was collected, that is obvious from the circumstances or as provided for by law. We make continual efforts to ensure the correctness and completeness of the data, but we must rely on the assistance of users to provide us with any changes to their personal information. Data collection and processing are conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Act on Data Protection (DSG; SR 235.1) and the Federal Act on Unfair Practices (UWG; SR 241). Data is retained only as long as it is necessary for MST to fulfill its purposes, and data that is no longer required is deleted. MST makes appropriate security measures to guarantee the security of all data. MST limits access to confidential information to those employees who need it in order to fulfill MST's purposes.
Data inspection
According to the provisions of Art. 8 of the Federal Act on Data Protection, users can demand information indicating whether or not data affecting them is being processed and inspect said data. Individuals who would like to inspect such data should please contact us at info@mst.com.
Spam
The use by third parties of published contact data such as postal addresses, telephone/fax numbers as well as e-mail addresses which are collected within the scope of those items listed in this imprint or mentioned in similar ways is not permitted for sending information that has not been specifically requested. We expressly reserve the right to initiate legal actions against anyone who sends "spam mail" in violation of this provision.
